Summer Programs Week 2: June 8-12

Phonics Fun

Grades JK-K

9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

This camp will give children the opportunity to review letters and sounds. We will be doing both phonics (work with letters and sounds) and phonemic awareness (manipulating sounds, rhyming, blending, etc.) There will be read alouds, interactive writing practice, shared videos, dancing, and songs.

**Must register by: Saturday, May 30

**Materials Pick-up: Saturday, June 6, from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.

 

Conversational French 1: Novice

Grades 7 and up (students must have completed French A, B or French I)
Jen Hoban
9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Students will practice conversational French via video with Madame Hoban. Each day students will receive a personalized video via a phone app called Marco Polo. Students will respond and Madame Hoban will be able to chat back and forth in French.

 

Lifeskills, Kindness, and Etiquette

All ages

This camp will teach you the skills and manners you need to succeed in your personal life. From learning how to write a thank-you note, to lessons on how to stay safe online, you will learn and practice important social skills!

 

Celebremos Español

Pack your bags for a virtual travel adventure with Señora Long. We are going to visit Cuba, Mexico, and Ecuador to learn about Hispanic culture through art, music, dance, and games.
